Week 3: Chapters 6 & 7

For Aiden, online classes are bleh (except for getting to "see" his friends), mom's stress about money is worrisome, and the fate of comic books lays in the COVID balance. But, Aiden still finds a way to encourage us all to find joy in our predicament. Hear Rex read & talk about a LEGO giveaway you're gonna want to get in on!

The NBC Library Staff would like to invite students and teachers to join the Clements Quaran-Teen Club by viewing each webcast and then sharing their comments, reviews, thoughts, reactions, and illustrations to the newest chapters.   You can post your comment(s) below.  To prevent inappropriate messages and spam, you must include your First Initial, Last Name, & Grade Level along with your comment in order for it to be approved and published to the page.

Here are a few questions to consider from this week's webcast.  Feel free to include any additional comments or raise any additional questions that arose during the webcast.
  • What grade (A-F) would you give Chapter 6 & 7?  Why?
  • What has been the best part of learning from home?  What has been the most difficult part of learning from home?
  • What do you miss the most during these times of social distancing?
  • What do Aiden and Sophia's friends (Bella, Jacob, Lily, etc) look like?  Let’s have some fun illustrating Aiden’s story!
If you would like to submit your illustration(s) from this week's chapters to be featured on the Clements Quaran-Teen Club page, e-mail them to Ms. Gilliam or Mrs. Bailey.  You can also submit your illustrations(s) to the Junior Library Guild team via Instagram @JrLibraryGuild or e-mail at jlgwebcast@gmail.com. Some pics might just make it on the next national webcast!
